Lena is an inline skater from Belarus and organizer of the Big Avocado Roll living in Los Angeles, California. She works as a software engineer in the live entertainment industry.


Niko Salaman of Bristol, England, United Kingdom

May 26, 2020 – For the 59th installment of Big Wheel Blading’s coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s affects on inline skaters around the globe, we talk to Niko Salaman. Niko is a 22-year-old inline skater and university student living in Bristol, England. He was studying Illustration Animation in London until the lockdown. When all the schools were shutdown Niko was forced to move back home with his family in Bristol.

Doug is 33-year-old inline skater living outside of Washington D.C. in Reston, Virginia. Doug worked in Security Sales but was laid off due to COVID-19.

Jessica is a 41-year-old inline skater living outside Orlando, Florida in the suburb of Geneva. Jessica is a street light designer for a large environmental engineering company that handles contract work for utility companies.
