What is Skate of the Nation?

Samuel Dela Ahiataku and his school, DS Roller Sports Academy, have been organizing the event since 2019, which combines freestyle, slalom, high jump, long jump, and speed skating competitions. Sam also offers free inline skating and skateboarding lessons to anyone who wants to try them for the first time. No one who attends this event pays a thing; Sam covers accommodations, transport, and food for everyone who needs it!

This event has no official sponsors and has previously been crowdfunded by selling t-shirts and other means. This year a GoFundMe page has been set up to raise $500 for the event. If you are able and want to support the event and the growth of inline skating in Ghana, consider donating. Any amount, no matter how small, will ensure the success of this event.
