Jan Welch grew up spending every weekend at the roller skating rink in Austin, Texas, where he developed a lasting passion for being on wheels. This early love for skating led him to a long and successful career in the inline skating industry. Despite his career focus, Jan maintained his love for roller skating, greatly inspired by the Houston vert quad skaters he met in the 90s. This connection reintroduced him to the roller skating culture, where he has since made numerous friends and industry connections. Over the years, Jan has become highly knowledgeable about different skate brands, models, and prominent skaters. With his vast expertise, Jan aims to inspire newcomers to take up skating and help current skaters find their perfect setup.
