Join them every Tuesday night for a fun skate either towards Black Rock (16km) or to St. Kilda (12km round trip). The St. Kilda route is better for beginners, as it’s mostly flat and away from the road. The Black Rock route has some road proximity and hills, so if that’s a concern, wait for the St. Kilda skate. We start at 7 pm from Middle Brighton Baths, so be at the carpark by 6:45 pm. Note that the skate doesn’t run from 1st July to the start of Daylight Savings. It’s important to note that this skate session is more suitable for intermediate-level skaters and above. As it gets dark during their skate, they often encounter curbs and the asphalt quality along the entire route is not the best. So, if someone needs to stop frequently to navigate curbs, it’s better for them not to join. It is recommended that participants wear protective pads and have some kind of light for night skating.
