Buyers Guide: The Best Rollerblade Inline Skates
Welcome to the Buyers Guide section of bigwheelblading.com, which provides everything you need to make informed purchases online.
Many inline skate options are available online, but researching and finding the ones that meet your needs can be overwhelming. To save you time and frustration, I have curated a list of the best inline skates available from RollerbladeTM. These are high-quality skates from one of the major brands within the industry.
I have been working in the inline skating industry for 27 years and currently run bigwheelblading.com and host the Then and Now YouTube Channel. Having skated many of the skates on the market, I’m familiar with what’s out there and want to share my knowledge of the best skates and gear available for adults and kids.
The Best Rollerblade Inline Skates
We have compiled a list of the Best Rollerblade Inline Skates below, but if you’re in a time crunch and want to see a summarized list, here they are!
The Rollerblade Microblade is a high-quality adjustable inline skate for kids at an excellent value for parents. The skates adjust between four full sizes, accommodating your child’s growing feet. An easy-to-use extension system works with the push of a button, and markers in the toe area align the skates to the correct size. The Microblade provides tremendous support to improve stability, balance, and control.
The liner and the breathable mesh exterior make the Microblade comfortable, while the soft boot structure allows for a low center of gravity. The skates are easy to take on and off. The buckle, power strap, and lace closure system provide a secure fit.
The skates are available for boys and girls in two models. One model features four 72mm wheels, while the other has three 76mm wheels. Although they may look different at first glance, the frames on the two models are the same. They allow for a dual configuration, meaning you can replace or upgrade the 4x72mm with a 3x80mm setup to increase speed and performance or vice versa. All models come fitted with a brake.
The 3×72 model has a lace-free adjustment allowing your child to dial in the fit easily. The Integrated frame reduces weight and makes for a more durable, reliable skate. The junior performance liner keeps your child’s feet secure in the skate.

Rollerblade Macroblade 90
The Rollerblade Macroblade 90 is the ideal skate for someone looking to upgrade from their older skates and wants to skate a little faster. 90mm is a great “go-to” size for wheels, and the fit and support of the Macroblade 90 are incredible. The higher boot design helps add more stability when learning to ride taller 90mm wheels, thus creating a better sense of stability and control when skating. The liner utilizes engineered mesh for added breathability and sock-like comfort. It has all the cushioning needed to make learning how to skate more pleasant.
The skate’s aluminum frame adds more power transfer and durability. The closure system is easy to use and secures the foot to maximize fit and comfort. The skates come with 90mm 85a Rollerblade wheels and Rollerblade SG9 bearings, providing the right amount of speed and control without going too fast. The Macroblade 90 is available in men’s and women’s models.
Rollerblade Macroblade 110
The Rollerblade Macroblade 110 skates are ideal for intermediate to expert skaters who want to go fast. These are perfect skates for fitness, to enter a marathon with, or for long-distance skating on your favorite trail. They are also an extremely comfortable fit and will turn heads with how awesome they look!
The Macroblade 110 3WD skates are available in men’s and women’s models with various colorways. The black skates come with 110mm 85a Hydrogen SE wheels with Twincam ILQ-9 Classic Plus bearings, while the colored versions come with 110mm 85a Rollerblade Supreme wheels and Rollerblade SG9 bearings.
The skates feature a full-height boot cuff design for lateral support. Ventilated knit uppers and a secure 45° buckle/strap secure closure system with speed lacing make this an easy, lightweight choice for faster skating. This skate will get you rolling wherever you want, as fast as your legs allow, landing them on our list of The Best Rollerblade Inline Skates.
The Rollerblade Blank is a reimagined iteration of the classic Rollerblade Solo aggressive inline skates. Although the skates look similar, they couldn’t be more different. The modernized soulplate, designed by Kyle Sola, is more streamlined, lighter, and robust. The frame is mounted directly to the shell so the soulplate can be removed for big wheel UFS setups. A benefit of this soulplate is that the recessed areas allow bigger wheel UFS frames, like Oysius, to be used without making modifications.
The cuff has been redesigned, given a standard buckle, and has exceptional buckle protectors built into the mold to protect them when missing tricks or falling. The strap is now mounted with three screws, allowing you to tighten the skate more efficiently. The Blank Liners are comfortable, have strategic padding, and stretch neoprene toebox. An included footboard sizer adjusts the size, and the Performance-Plus Insoles use a rubber outsole and a silicone strip to stay in place. The Rollerblade Blank aggressive inline skates come with Blank Frames, Hydrogen 60mm wheels, and Twinxam ILQ-9 Bearings.
The Rollerblade Blank Team comes complete with the new Blank V2 Liner with memory foam, 60mm 92a Hydrogen Blank Wheels, 42mm plastic anti-rocker wheels, and Twincam ILQ-9 Classic Plus Bearings. The V2 Liner is lighter, slimmer, and has a better lacing system.

Rollerblade Twister XT
The Rollerblade Twister XT is one of my all-time favorite skates! They boast plenty of features to ensure comfort and stability on city streets and long-distance skates on paved trails. They are also excellent skates for commuting to work with. Unlike previous Twister models, which caused pressure points and hurt my feet, the Twister XT is one of the best-fitting skates I own. Rollerblade redesigned the Twister XT to ensure comfort and stability, and the new liner is unbelievably comfortable.
The all-new fit features a modified, lighter shell and a footboard sizer, which gives a performance fit. The liner and insole improve stance and skateability with upgraded cushioning, improved wrapping, more breathability, and shock-absorbing padding in the heel. The V-cut liner allows for a wide range of motion.
The skates are available in men’s and women’s models. They come with superb quality 80mm 85a Hydrogen Spectre wheels with Twincam ILQ-9 Classic Plus bearings. The Twister XT is an excellent combination of premium fit, superior support, and advanced maneuverability, landing them on our list of The Best Rollerblade Inline Skates.

Rollerblade High Performance Socks
Rollerblade High-Performance Socks were the first socks I used for long-distance skating. I skated them for quite a while and was impressed by their comfort and cushioning while rollerblading. The socks are Made in Italy using Nanoglide fabric that reduces friction, minimizes pressure points, wicks away moisture, and eliminates blisters. Although they perform very well in inline skating, they do not have a warranty.
Athalon Everything Boot Bag
The Athalon Everything Boot Bag is the perfect backpack to keep your skates, safety gear, tools, and accessories organized. This bag is ideal for traveling and has many excellent features. I love this bag so much for my inline skates that I bought a second one for my ski boots.
Rollerblade Skate Bag
The Rollerblade Skate Bag is ideal for transporting or storing skates and gear. A YKK zippered center panel allows easy access to the main storage area. The rear panel has two vented sections, and another smaller internal pocket is there for essentials. Includes a shoulder strap, reinforced tote handle, and peg feet for stability.
Sonic Pro Inline Skate Tool
At some point, every skater will have to do skate maintenance. The best tool for the job is the Sonic Pro Inline Skate Tool, which offers excellent leverage to change wheels, extract bearings, tighten screws, and more. The ergonomic handle of the Pro Tool is comfortable for shop technicians to use all day but compact enough to take on a roll. This latest variant features Hex and Torx bits to fit most brands of skates, as well as a bearing extractor, bearing pusher, and floating spacer aligner.
