Personally, I prefer having the 45° buckle because I’m not a fan of laces on skates, and I tend to rely mainly on the buckles for tightening. However, this is all about personal preference, and many people appreciate the stylish look of the skates without the buckle.

The NEXT series from Powerslide is considered a higher-end skate, loaded with premium features and components. One standout feature is the heat-moldable MyFit Recall Dual-Fit liners, which can be customized for a perfect, snug fit. Additionally, the liners are exceptionally good at absorbing vibrations, making them comfortable when skating on rough terrain, performing jumps, or skating down steps. Like most Powerslide skates, the NEXT features the Trinity mounting system, which allows for a wide range of aftermarket frame options. The design of the Trinity system lowers the skate’s center of gravity, enhancing stability, control, and power transfer.

Some people might find it difficult to tighten the cuff as much as they’d like, particularly if they have slender legs or small calves. A solution can be found by looking at the inside of the cuff under the buckle where horizontal cut marks are visible.
