Swiss speed skater Livio Wenger, the winner of the 2018 Engadin Inline Marathon in St. Moritz, Switzerland, has been stripped of his win by the Swiss Skate Tour for unsportsmanlike conduct. He was captured on video making contact with another skater and almost forcing him off the road during the final leg of the marathon. This was decided after repeated reviews of the video and consultation of the referees, skaters and the race organizers, which resulted in his disqualification.
Livio won the silver medal in the 10k track elimination at the 2017 World Games in Wroclaw, Poland. He also competed in the men’s 5000 meters races, representing Switzerland, at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Tim Sibiet from Belgium is now the official winner of the 2018 Engadin Inline Marathon.
